כאב לבב על השבר
שלא בעתו נלקח לקבר
רך בשנים וקצר ימים
איש ישר הולך תמים
למרומים שב הרוח
באדמה פה הגיו ינוח
נפלה עטרת ראשינו
צרה גדולה מצאינו
בניו יבכו במר נפש
יגלו דמעה בכי הנפש

Heart aches in grief
[that] Took to the grave prematurely
Soft in years and young in days
The honest man [who] kept the way of justice
And his soul was ascended to heaven
Here in the ground will rest his body
Crown fell from our head
The big grief happened here
His sons will cry bitterly
Tears filled the soul
Mr. Israel son of Mr. Tzvi, his candle lights.
May his soul be bound in the bundle of life
