Influential community leader and philanthropist, founder (together with his father Yitzhak and his brother Mordechai) of the synagogue "Golden Rose" in the Jewish Quarter Old City of Lwow.

Abram Jakob Lahrer was a chassidic Rabbi and one of the cofounders of Jeshivat Chahmi Lublin one of the largest most important Jewish institutions in Europe at its time. He was also Chief of Jewish Community of Nizhankovitse, Nizankowice or Nyzhankovychi, and Town Hall Councellor in Behalf of Jews. Member of Kollel Galicia.
Buried in Mount of Olives Cemetery in Jerusalem, Israel.
