Pistyn is a village on the Pistyn'ka river (a tributary of the Prut), 19 km from Kolomea. It was mentioned for the first time in 1375, the Magdeburg law was granted in 1756 (see here).  The Jewish cemetery in Pistyn was completely destroyed during the Soviet times, its tombstones were used as building material.  Photographs of the destroyed Jewish cemetery see in the Gallery section.
